A PLACE WHERE DREAMS LEAD

Take me to a place where dreams lead
To the Olumirin waterfall*
Let me drown all my sorrows
Communing with Osun the river goddess

Take me to a place where dreams lead
To Obudu*
While I stand at the peak of the mountain
To tell the tales of how I overcame

Take me to a place where dreams lead
To Olumo*
Let me hide within the rocks
That sheltered my ancestors during war

Take me to a place where dreams lead
To Gembu*
To enjoy the tenderness of nature
In a land most peaceful

Take me to a place where dreams lead
To the Kajuru castle
To enjoy harmony
As Europe greets Africa

Take me to a place where dreams lead
To the heart of the Niger delta
To the oil city
Home of affluence

Take me to a place where dreams lead
To the ancient city of Sokoto*
To bask in the Sahara
As I step on the sands of history

Take me to a place where dreams lead
Through the rivers and the creeks
The thick forest and the desert
To a place I call home
